plz_gtfo_dragonSo, common wisdom dictates that the 'floods' which regularly assail this vesse, are either deliberately caused by the Admiral to mess with us, or they're the... well, the overflow, if you will from neighboring worlds, correct?
And - although I have yet to be convinced of this - after throwing ones self overboard; rather than plummeting to a sticky end or being dragged into the gravitational pull of a nearby star, you wake up somewhere as a part of that world, yes?
So presumably this inundation of contact with (evidently for some of you) friends and relations is being caused by a nearby world capable of accessing transmissions from all of your homes. A world which you need only to throw yourselves overboard to arrive at, and possibly to secure your own passage home!
If anyone feels desperate enough to try it, let me know. I'll give you a leg up over the barrier.
